Advanced Jazz Band
Advanced Jazz Band is our top jazz ensemble offered at Natomas Charter School. Participation in the Advanced Jazz Band gives students the opportunity to rehearse and perform both new and established works in the repertory of the genre. Students are also exposed to techniques of jazz improvisation, jazz style characteristics, and elements of jazz formal structure.

Symphonic Band
Symphonic Band is our top wind ensemble offered at Natomas Charter. The best in modern wind band literature, as well as standard classics, will serve as the repertoire. This course will also include performances throughout the year.

Concert Band
Concert Band is open to all students who play a band instrument and have an interest in symphonic/concert band literature. Emphasis will be on instrumental technique and ensemble rehearsal skills, music literacy, music history, and performance practice. This course will also include performances throughout the year.

Beginning Band/Music7
Beginning Band is a course open to all middle and high school students. This course is designed for students who have never played a band instrument before or students who want to learn a new band instrument. Beginning Band is not a performance-oriented group as Concert Band, but will perform one concert at the end of the school year.
